Martin started his music career playing, performing and writing in the bands ‘Virginia Doesn’t’ and ‘The Time’ (featured in the book 'Volume' by Oliver Gray). He has supported, among others, ‘The Jam’, Joe Jackson, 'The Vapors', 'Purple Hearts', 'Bad Manners', and played a John Peel session for the BBC.
Other bands include: 'King Butcher' with Jon King from ‘Gang Of Four’ and ‘Horace Bachelor And The Zeebra Kitten Blues Band” who have supported ‘BB King’, 'Nine Below Zero', and Wilco Johnson.
Whilst living in London, Martin gained considerable recording knowledge working in the studio, ‘Utopia’, whose clients included Brian Ferry, 'Texas', 'The Waterboys', 'Del La Soul', and many more.
He currently has his own recording facility based in Bournemouth where he composes and produces music. His clients include: BBC, Radio 4, Sky Arts, Swedish Film Institute, Talkback Productions. He is an Apple Certified Trainer in Logic Pro and his library music is used in film, TV and radio all over the world.
